Blacksmith

When redesigning the Blacksmith, I worked on the basic shape of the character. I wanted to the character recognizable from just the outline or shadow. This helps her find her uniqueness among the other characters the story.

I started by sketching circles together. This allowed me to sketch multiple body shapes very quickly. I would make the feet bigger and smaller. I experimented with her hair. I tried different heights and weight. These quick sketches where great as they allowed me to compare many basic ideas together, and I was able to find one I was happy with.
